OpenPages Reduces Cost of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance With Advanced Automation Capabilities

New Sox Express Capabilities From Greenlight Technologies to Fully Automate IT-Dependent Financial Controls

WALTHAM, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/15/05 -- OpenPages, the leading provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance management (GRCM) solutions, in conjunction with Greenlight Technologies, today announced new capabilities for SOX Express that provide OpenPages customers the ability to fully automate many manually intensive IT controls commonly required for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Available immediately from Greenlight Technologies, Greenlight Control Automation for SOX Express provides companies with more than 1,500 control automations for leading enterprise applications including Oracle, SAP and Peoplesoft.

"OpenPages strives to help its customers continue to reduce the cost burdens of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance," said Peter Morgan, vice president of marketing at OpenPages. "In partnership with Greenlight, OpenPages is providing its customers new facilities that reduce the overall compliance effort by automating significant percentages of the testing workload."

Fully integrated with SOX Express through OpenPages' OpenAccess API, Greenlight contains a library of more than 1,500 automated tests for Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft and other enterprise applications. Greenlight enables customers to associate predefined tests with controls defined in SOX Express, schedule those tests to run automatically, and then record the results in SOX Express. Tests can be performed on a user-defined schedule with automatic notification of issues and little burden on ERP resources.

"Automating controls is the logical next step in reducing the ongoing costs of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance," said Anand Adya, CEO of Greenlight Technologies. "By combining SOX Express and Greenlight, OpenPages customers not only reduce the amount of manual testing, but also gain increased confidence in the quality of controls through more frequent, automated testing."

OpenPages SOX Express is the market-leading software solution for reducing the time and resource costs associated with ongoing compliance for Sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. SOX Express combines powerful document management, business process management and flexible reporting capabilities in an extremely easy-to-use environment that enables an organization to document financial controls and automate the end-to-end compliance process. Completely Web-based, SOX Express maximizes end-user participation with little training. Its dashboards can be used by project managers, documentation team members, internal auditors and external auditors to plan, document and test the internal controls framework of the company, and to attest to the financial statements.

Hackers took three days to identify and exploit a known vulnerability in Equifax’s web applications. I will share new data that reveals why three days (at most) is the new normal for DevSecOps teams to move new business /security requirements from design into production. This session aims to enlighten DevOps teams, security and development professionals by sharing results from the 4th annual State of the Software Supply Chain Report -- a blend of public and proprietary data with expert research and analysis.Attendees can join this session to better understand how DevSecOps teams are applying lessons from W. Edwards Deming (circa 1982), Malcolm Goldrath (circa 1984) and Gene Kim (circa 2013) to improve their ability to respond to new business requirements and cyber risks.
DevOpsSUMMIT at CloudEXPO, to be held June 25-26, 2019 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA – announces that its Call for Papers is open. Born out of proven success in agile development, cloud computing, and process automation, DevOps is a macro trend you cannot afford to miss. From showcase success stories from early adopters and web-scale businesses, DevOps is expanding to organizations of all sizes, including the world's largest enterprises – and delivering real results. It is changing the way IT works, how businesses interact with customers, and how organizations are buying, building, and delivering software.
The benefits of automated cloud deployments for speed, reliability and security are undeniable. The cornerstone of this approach, immutable deployment, promotes the idea of continuously rolling safe, stable images instead of trying to keep up with managing a fixed pool of virtual or physical machines. In this talk, we'll explore the immutable infrastructure pattern and how to use continuous deployment and continuous integration (CI/CD) process to build and manage server images for any platform. Then we'll show how automate deploying these images quickly and reliability with open DevOps tools like Terraform and Digital Rebar. Not only is this approach fast, it's also more secure and robust for operators. If you are running infrastructure, this talk will change how you think about your job in profound ways.
The current environment of Continuous Disruption requires companies to transform how they work and how they engineer their products. Transformations are notoriously hard to execute, yet many companies have succeeded. What can we learn from them? Can we produce a blueprint for a transformation? This presentation will cover several distinct approaches that companies take to achieve transformation. Each approach utilizes different levers and comes with its own advantages, tradeoffs, costs, risks, and outcomes.
