CopperEgg Posts Record Growth for 2013

Growth was fueled by strong demand for CopperEgg’s end-to-end cloud performance monitoring solutions

CopperEgg has announced year-end results for 2013, achieving 380 percent growth in monthly recurring revenues year-over-year, and adding 440 new customers. The company also named Chad Bockius as CEO, Heidi Farris as vice president of marketing, and Chris Yndo as vice president of sales.

Growth was fueled by strong demand for CopperEgg’s end-to-end cloud performance monitoring solutions, as well as its newly released Application Performance Management feature – Real User Monitoring (RUM). CopperEgg now provides comprehensive monitoring of cloud infrastructure and applications designed, priced and packaged to cover the complete production environment.

“The cloud has become non-negotiable for businesses that want to optimize customer experience and competitive advantage while minimizing the cost and complexity of their IT infrastructure,” said Bockius. “We’ve seen tremendous success this year as more customers move from cloud pilots to production environments, and need to better understand how application and server performance affects real user experience. As cloud adoption accelerates, I expect demand for our lightweight, affordable solutions to only increase.”

Year-end highlights for 2013 include:

Strong sales: Monthly recurring revenue grew 380 percent year-over-year, including 440 new customers. Key wins included: Comcast, HomeAway, Juniper Networks and Real Networks, with strong momentum across all industry verticals. CopperEgg now processes more than 100 billion metrics per day, helping DevOps users and cloud-dependent businesses maximize visibility, minimize false alarms and optimize performance fidelity.

Product innovation: CopperEgg debuted its RUM solution for cloud-based applications, providing complete visibility across servers, websites, applications and end users in public, private and hybrid cloud environments. The company also continued to deepen its partnership with Amazon with the release of its application-aware cloud sizing tool to track the usage of current systems and provide optimal AWS EC2 instance recommendations. The tool analyzes the usage of applications and makes predictions based on algorithms. It also includes new capabilities to create custom dashboards including executive displays, role-based views and more.

Industry accolades and Thought leadership: Enterprise Management Associates named CopperEgg “A Vendor to Watch” for its SaaS-based APM monitoring optimized for elastic cloud environments. In addition, CopperEgg speakers presented at several industry thought leadership events, including the AWS Summit 2013 and #ChefConf 2013, where they demonstrated enhancements to CopperEgg’s Chef Cookbook.

Corporate growth: CopperEgg expanded the breadth and depth of its management team, announcing the appointment of Chad Bockius as CEO, Heidi Farris as vice president of marketing, and Chris Yndo as vice president of sales.
