StrongLoop Introduces Partner Program, Node.js Training & Certification

StrongLoop Partners Help Deliver Node.js Technology Solutions, Training and Certification to Enable True Enterprise Mobility

SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/14 -- StrongLoop, the leading provider of solutions for Node.js, today introduced its new partner program to accelerate the delivery of StrongLoop and Node technologies to individual developers and the enterprise. Node continues to gain popularity for the creation of "front edge" APIs that enable the delivery of true enterprise mobility. StrongLoop's technology, reseller, integration and training partners are helping solidify the rapidly growing ecosystem around this trend with StrongLoop technologies such as the LoopBack API server and StrongOps, the DevOps service for Node. StrongLoop also today announced its training and certification program so that partners can now deliver one-on-one Node training worldwide to developers, as well as private, on-premise training for enterprise development teams interested in accelerating their Node skills.

StrongLoop Certified Node Developer

Available immediately, the StrongLoop Certified Node Developer (SCND) certification provides Node.js developers the opportunity to distinguish themselves by validating their Node knowledge and skills to develop web and mobile applications. The certification program helps project managers identify and recruit skilled individuals to their Node application development teams. "The SCND certification was developed by Node core developers to ensure its recipients can demonstrate a strong level of proficiency," said Issac Roth, StrongLoop CEO. "The certification is priced low enough to make it very appealing for developers to add to their resumes. For managers looking to hire developers with Node expertise, the SCND certification means they can hire with confidence." Experienced Node developers are highly sought after and those with the right skills can use their certification to validate and market themselves to new opportunities. Please visit the StrongLoop Certification page for details.

Node.js Training

Multi-day public Node training sessions delivered by StrongLoop partners OlinData and YLD are also available today. "OlinData provides public and private Node training around the world, developed through our partnership with StrongLoop," said Walter Heck, CEO of OlinData "As the largest corporate contributor to the upcoming Node v0.12 release, StrongLoop proved to be an invaluable resource for us in developing this highly targeted and specialized Node training program." A complete schedule of upcoming training dates in London, New York, India, Kuala Lumpur and Manila is available on the StrongLoop Events page. Technology and Integration Partners

Node and StrongLoop products are being used today at small and large companies to deliver exciting mobile experiences and API projects accessing heterogeneous data sources. StrongLoop partners are helping deliver these projects with platform support, technical integration, consulting and professional services. StrongLoop partners include Rackspace, Red Hat OpenShift, Heroku, MongoDB, Vizuri and appendTo. "Mobile developers want technology that frees them to focus on the front-end," said Rackspace CTO John Engates. "StrongLoop's availability on the Rackspace Cloud means developers can reap the benefits of an API server and a DevOps console, with the scalability and power of the cloud." About StrongLoop
StrongLoop is the leading contributor to Node.js v0.12. Launched in 2013 and based in Silicon Valley, StrongLoop was founded by engineers who have been contributing to Node since 2011. The company is funded by Ignition Partners and Shasta Ventures, and is advised by Marten Mickos, CEO of Eucalyptus. Node is used to create "front edge" APIs that multi-device, multi-channel applications use to connect to data. For developers creating these APIs, StrongLoop offers Loopback, an API server with built-in mobile services such as push and geolocation. These services can be accessed via iOS, Android and JavaScript SDKs like Angular.js or Cordova.js, with a variety of supported connectors including Oracle, MongoDB, MSSQL Server, ATG, PostgreSQL and MySQL. LoopBack can run both on-premise or in the datacenter. StrongLoop also offers the leading DevOps tooling for debugging, clustering, monitoring and optimizing Node applications. StrongLoop runs on all major operating systems and eight clouds including Amazon, Heroku, OpenShift and Rackspace. For more information, visit http://strongloop.com.

Dynatrace is an application performance management software company with products for the information technology departments and digital business owners of medium and large businesses. Building the Future of Monitoring with Artificial Intelligence. Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like "How is my application doing" but no idea how to get a proper answer.

This sixteen (16) hour course provides an introduction to DevOps, the cultural and professional movement that stresses communication, collaboration, integration and automation in order to improve the flow of work between software developers and IT operations professionals. Improved workflows will result in an improved ability to design, develop, deploy and operate software and services faster.
CI/CD is conceptually straightforward, yet often technically intricate to implement since it requires time and opportunities to develop intimate understanding on not only DevOps processes and operations, but likely product integrations with multiple platforms. This session intends to bridge the gap by offering an intense learning experience while witnessing the processes and operations to build from zero to a simple, yet functional CI/CD pipeline integrated with Jenkins, Github, Docker and Azure.
