m-creations Delivers Mobile Payment Solution in Three Months Using WSO2 Carbon Enterprise Middleware Platform

WSO2 today announced that m-creations, a recognized expert in mobile information consulting, has used the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform to develop a phone top-up solution as part of a leading German payment technology provider’s mobile prepaid platform. By taking advantage of WSO2’s pre-integrated, highly configurable WSO2 middleware products, m-creations was able to develop the new top-up solution in just three months, meeting a deadline to make the service available in time for the holiday shopping season.

The new case study from WSO2 examines how the German payment technology provider turned to m-creations to build the top-up solution for owners of prepaid mobile phones. It also looks at how m-creations was able to reduce its integration demands and cut project time by implementing the componentized, OSGI-compliant WSO2 Carbon platform. Among the topics covered in the case study are how:

  • m-creations cut development time by taking advantage of the highly configurable products, such as WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus, which handles transformation and mediation.
  • WSO2 Application Server and WSO2 Data Services Server host applications and interact with backend data stores.
  • WSO2 Identity Server secures the message channels and authenticates service consumers.
  • WSO2 Governance Registry stores metadata and shared assets, enabling the platform components to integrate through different delivery channels.
  • Using WSO2’s Jaggery pure JavaScript server-side scripting engine helped speed the development of REST services.

“As mobile service system developers, a success story for us is defined by our ability to meet the deadline and timeframe,” said Kambiz Darabi, managing director at m-creations. “We were able to deliver an innovative solution for our customer in a remarkably short time because we worked with WSO2’s middleware. It was amazing and would not have been possible with any other platform. We look forward to expanding our use of WSO2 as we build on this success.”

“m-creations is highly recognized in Germany for its proven expertise in developing mobile information systems tailored to businesses’ demands,” said Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, WSO2 founder and CEO. “We are thrilled by m-creations’ success in bringing a new mobile top-up solution to market within 90 days using our WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform. It highlights the power of implementing highly integrated products, so developers can immediately focus on the building their applications.”

CloudEXPO | DevOpsSUMMIT | DXWorldEXPO Silicon Valley 2019 will cover all of these tools, with the most comprehensive program and with 222 rockstar speakers throughout our industry presenting 22 Keynotes and General Sessions, 250 Breakout Sessions along 10 Tracks, as well as our signature Power Panels. Our Expo Floor will bring together the leading global 200 companies throughout the world of Cloud Computing, DevOps, IoT, Smart Cities, FinTech, Digital Transformation, and all they entail. As your enterprise creates a vision and strategy that enables you to create your own unique, long-term success, learning about all the technologies involved is essential. Companies today not only form multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, but create them with built-in cognitive capabilities.
When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it’s important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. “Fly two mistakes high” is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Lee Atchison, Principal Cloud Architect and Advocate at New Relic, will discuss how this same philosophy can be applied to highly scaled applications, and can dramatically increase your resilience to failure.
Digital transformation is about embracing digital technologies into a company's culture to better connect with its customers, automate processes, create better tools, enter new markets, etc. Such a transformation requires continuous orchestration across teams and an environment based on open collaboration and daily experiments. In his session at 21st Cloud Expo, Alex Casalboni, Technical (Cloud) Evangelist at Cloud Academy, explored and discussed the most urgent unsolved challenges to achieve full cloud literacy in the enterprise world.
