Coleman Research Group Acquires Endowment Capital Group's Clio Research Management Software

Knowledge Broker(TM) RMS Will Allow Investment Professionals to Manage Research Projects Across Expert Matching Providers

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/02/08 -- Coleman Research Group, Inc. (CRG), a global provider of highly targeted primary research to top institutional money managers, hedge funds and private equity firms based in New York City, today announced the acquisition of Philadelphia-based Endowment Capital Group's research management software (RMS), Clio. CRG will immediately begin the integration of Clio with its own proprietary application, Knowledge Broker™, a web-based research management system, and rebrand the integrated software offering as Knowledge Broker™ Research Management Software (RMS). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Knowledge Broker™ RMS will be designed to help professionals in the investment community manage all aspects of their research and investment projects. Knowledge Broker™ RMS will also provide portfolio managers with the ability to locate and manage their database of industry contacts, create projects, facilitate compliance procedures, perform keyword searches, record and review a history of all research projects and produce real-time project reports. In doing so, Knowledge Broker™ RMS will facilitate research management and expert matching through CRG's Executive Forum.

"We are extremely excited about adding Research Management to Knowledge Broker. This will give our clients the ability to initiate, track and measure the success they have had with members of our Executive Forum," said Kevin C. Coleman, CEO and President. "One of the greatest assets of Clio is that it was developed over a number of years by a hedge fund. We know this knowledge base will be transferable to other buy-side institutions that are looking to do deep fundamental research by speaking with industry experts."

"While a number of technology companies were interested in further developing and rolling out Clio to their hedge fund and institutional money manager clients, we felt Coleman Research Group was the best long-term fit. CRG's strong technical expertise and growing, high quality client base made it the most logical partner to take Clio to the next level," said Endowment Capital Group, LLC, CEO Christopher Long.

As you know, enterprise IT conversation over the past year have often centered upon the open-source Kubernetes container orchestration system. In fact, Kubernetes has emerged as the key technology -- and even primary platform -- of cloud migrations for a wide variety of organizations. Kubernetes is critical to forward-looking enterprises that continue to push their IT infrastructures toward maximum functionality, scalability, and flexibility. As they do so, IT professionals are also embracing the reality of Serverless architectures, which are critical to developing and operating real-time applications and services. Serverless is particularly important as enterprises of all sizes develop and deploy Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives.
